Linen is the oldest fibre known to mankind to be spun into the Linen Yarn and made the fabric out of it. Linen is a bast fibre, which means that it comes from the inner part of the plant.
Linen Yarn is also known as Flax Yarn as the Linen Fibre comes from Flax Plant.
The strength of Linen yarn is twice as of cotton yarn and is highly breathable, but it is also extremely less elastic.
To weave / knit the Linen fabric, it needs certain process to be involved and to be done with proper care.

Hemp, also known as most demanded in the future has many companies getting their hands on trying this yarn. 100% Hemp yarn is being produced by limited number of spinners. However the Hemp Blended yarn is available more easily from many spinners.
Hemp Blended yarns are in demand being blended with Cotton, Organic Cotton, Recycled Cotton, Polyester and Modal.
100% Hemp yarn to be offered to you would be European Hemp Yarn or Chinese Hemp Yarn. But the blended Yarn would be offered from the Indian Hemp Blended Yarn manufacturers using the fibres from either Europe or Indian Origin.
Linen Fibre and Hemp Fibre looks very similar as both being bast fibres. The length of the hemp fibre is usually between 4 ft -7 ft and the linen fibre is usually between 1.5ft to 3 ft.
Linen Yarn and Hemp yarn can be produced using the Wet spinning and Dry Spinning Methods. Dry Spinning is used for short fibres and most of the time it is for producing the Linen Blended Yarns or the Hemp Blended Yarns.
